That would be like getting rid of a Mercedes and buying a 1970 VW Rabbit or a Ford Pinto.

I was not bashing MAS, I simply said going from MAS to merc. pos was a step backwards.  MAS is the wave of the future.  Ask anyone at Bloomnet!

Whether anyone is defecting from MAS or not, it is a personal business decision that a shop should not be chided for.   I do however, feel that Teleflora's insitstence not to open their Dove system to other's (namely MAS) has and will continue to strengthen BloomNet, and it may be too late for them in the long run to jump onto it.  After shops get used to doing what they do, it's kind of hard to say Oh allright then, we will work with you, and find any large numbers who support them.  I  hand it to the folks over at Bloomnet, the seem to know where its going to be.

TF has handed lots of biz to FTD and 800 with that mistake - I think they should be up for salesmen of the year at those companies.

Maybee they wanted those florists to go join FTD. :) Less whiners for them to deal with. MAS users are known for knowing too much about the biz which is good, but is it really worth it to have whiners, let FTD have the whiners and anyone who joins bloomnet deserves a kick in the pants since the Bloomnets ownership by 800 makes it like laying down with a dog who has fleas. Some florists really have no ethics when it comes to belonging to some wire services.

It is not us but I have heard of a MAS florist looking into it but I think that is par for the course with some technology software, look and see what the others have got.  I have actually heard that the new Merc is pretty good but that is the extent I know about it.

The larger a company gets the more it might lose someone because as much as you try to be everything for everybody the reality is that you just can't.
